Contract: Permanent contract

Salary: £22,151 – £28,014 per annum

ODI (www.odi.org.uk) aims to inspire and inform policy and practice to reduce poverty by locking together high-quality applied research and practical policy advice.

We are recruiting a Receptionist to provide a professional and seamless visitor experience, support the Facilities administrative function and oversee front-of-house services.

This role will include:

  • Reception: Providing an exemplary meeting/greeting visitor experience and maintaining a sufficiently high-level knowledge of the front–of-house systems and procedures to provide a smooth-running and professional service. You will also ensure that security and other front–of-house/building-related procedures are adhered to.
  • Events Catering: Assisting with event catering and supplies as necessary, ordering and checking catering deliveries, and reconciling supplier and catering invoices.
  • Administration: Providing administrative support as necessary to the Facilities, IT and Directorate teams. To include: assisting with the ordering and distribution of stationery, consumables and supplies, assisting the Facilities Assistant with incoming and outgoing post, and assisting with the Facilities Help Desk and meeting room booking functions.

You will have previous experience of reception work and be confident in regularly dealing with visitors and employees. You will be service orientated, have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, be a confident verbal and written communicator with the ability to prioritise and juggle a variety of tasks. Familiarity with IT packages, word processing and email in particular, is essential.
