Systems Implementation Project Manager

Contract: One-year Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £39,897 - £50,466 per annum

We are looking for a Systems Implementation Project Manager to manage the procurement and implementation of a new Finance and Project Management System.

This role will be the key responsible for the success of this project. It will be the key point of contact for this project, both within the organisation and with external suppliers. They will be responsible for managing the project timetable, ensuring that a robust governance framework is in place, working with suppliers and providing input to the design, implementation and training phases. They will report directly to the SLT and Board and other groups within the organisation, as required. They will have the authority to shape the development of the end solution and will own the governance framework of the project.

The role will be in place throughout the duration of the implementation, including a period of time post go-live.

Education/knowledge

  • Educated to Masters’ level or equivalent level of experience

  • Qualified in a recognised project management discipline

  • Knowledge and experience developing data coding structures

  • Knowledge of issues involved in managing data cleansing, extraction and migration

Experience

  • Significant experience of managing the successful implementations of finance and project management systems
  • Managing a project governance framework

  • Managing a communications framework within a complex organisation, with multiple stakeholders

  • Experience of line management

  • Experience managing suppliers on behalf of an organisation

  • Experience of software and systems procurement

  • Ability to report to senior stakeholders

  • Skilled written and verbal communicator with the ability to convey complex issues effectively

  • Strong organisational skills and self-motivation.

  • Ability to respond quickly to various requests in a highly pressured and changeable working environment, with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences

  • Ability to learn new software quickly

  • Must be able to use initiative to decide relevant actions and make recommendations to management
