Salary: £28,015 - £33,419 pa

About us

ODI (www.odi.org.uk) aims to inspire and inform policy and practice to reduce poverty by locking together high-quality applied research and practical policy advice.

We are looking for a Project Officer to join the Agricultural Development and Policy Programme.

ADP aims to move thinking forward on how to feed 9 bn people by 2050 while sustaining the planet and improving people’s lives.

We are a small, but growing team, which has attracted significant funding over the past few years and continues to do so. We are seeking to recruit a Programme Officer to support the team’s work across its different areas.

We are looking for a candidate with strong experience of programme and financial management to support the ADP team’s projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Pre-bidding and proposal development - support Project Leaders in the preparation of bids and proposals (financial and other documentation

  • Project, Financial and contractual monitoring (in support of project leaders)

  • General Project Support

  • Programme Coordination and Administration

  • Support to ADP’s larger projects, including LEGEND and PRIndex.

About you

  • Education to degree level
  • High level of numeracy
  • Experience of programme and financial management.
  • Experience of budget monitoring
  • Administration experience
  • Experience of donor contract management
  • Strong organisational skills and self-motivation – able to work independently
  • Multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to work to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Advanced IT skills to include Excel, Word, email, PowerPoint, databases
  • Good proof reading and editing skills
