About us

ODI aims to inspire and inform policy and practice to reduce poverty by locking together high-quality applied research and practical policy advice.

In the final year of the programme, the Operations and Partnerships Lead for the BRACED Knowledge Manager consortium will be responsible for the smooth delivery and close-out of the project, drawing on an overall budget of more than £15million over the five-year period (and an annual budget of just under £4 million). More details of the BRACED programme can be accessed here: http://www.braced.org/

The job will involve complex consortium and stakeholder management, intensive work planning and delivery tracking, full oversight of and responsibility for the budget, external representation of ODI and the BRACED KM function with DFID and other key stakeholders and many other management aspects involved with an assignment of this size and complexity.

BRACED is a £140million programme helping people become more resilient to climate extremes in Southeast Asia, the African Sahel and East Africa. Over five years (2014-2019), this is being achieved through the efforts of 15 major consortia, known as the project implementing partners, which are managed by a Fund Manager.

ODI, along with its 5 consortium partners for the Knowledge Manager, works with the project implementing partners and the Fund Manager to generate evidence and learning on resilience from across the BRACED programme to inform and influence the policies and programmes of practitioners, governments and funding agencies.

The role sits within the Risk and Resilience Programme, which provides research, analysis and policy advice on systemic, inclusive and just approaches to understanding risk and managing uncertainty.
